FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
What is an eSIM?
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan from a carrier without using a physical SIM card.
Which devices support eSIM?
Most recent smartphones, including newer iPhone (iPhone 14, iPhone 15 with iOS 17 and above) and Android devices (Samsung Galaxy series, Google Pixel, etc.), support eSIM. You can check under Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Network) on your phone to confirm.
Can I have multiple eSIMs on one device?
Yes, many devices allow you to store multiple eSIM profiles, though you can typically only use one or two at a time, depending on the device model. For example, some iPhone models allow dual active lines (eSIM + physical SIM or dual eSIM).
Is my phone unlocked?
Your phone must be unlocked (able to use different carriers) to install eSIMs from other providers. Check with your original carrier or look for details in your device settings to verify if it's unlocked.
Will my phone number change?
When you purchase a new SIMzip eSIM data plan it does not contain a phone number, your phone number remains original and will work alongside SIMzip data. You can still keep your original phone number on your physical SIM (or another eSIM) if you wish.
